30 for 30 Recap: Week 4

Hey guys,

I hope you are all having a fantastic Monday. I can’t believe there are only 2 more weeks in this challenge! Before life gets too hectic, I thought I would share week 4’s outfits. It was President’s Day last Monday and I was off of work, so there are only 4 outfits. However, this week there should be more outfits to makeup the difference.

Here you go:

Day 15 Day 16
Day 17 Day 18

So, there you have it!

Much Love,

Jess

30 for 30 Recap: Week 3- Halfway!

Hi Everyone,

The end is in sight…we are halfway there! I am enjoying this challenge because it is teaching me so much about my wardrobe (what I’m lacking, what clothes are not flattering, etc…) but, it is progressively getting more difficult as the weeks roll on. However, I am going to see it through!

Now, onto last week’s outfits! This past week started out with a migraine and resulted in staying home from work, so, I only have 4 outfit photos for you. However, I will be making up the days with weekend outfits.

What I wore last week:

Day 11 final Day 12
Day 13 Day 14

So, there you have it! I hope you all have a great upcoming week!

Much Love,

Jess

30 for 30 Recap: Week 2

Hey guys,

Below are the outfits from week 2! Note, there is a repeat…this past Wednesday was our legislative reception, and rather than try to find another suitable outfit I totally copped out. I know ::hanging head in shame:: . Oh, and these pictures have helped me realize how unflattering those black pants are on my body. Thank goodness I added another pair in the mix. They will be going to Goodwill as soon as this challenge is over.

I digress! Last week’s outfits:
Day 6 Day 7
Day 8 Day 9
Day 10

Much love,

Jess

Blue Had Me at Hello: Wet N Wild Review

Yes, you read the title correctly. I said Wet N Wild…you know the makeup that every girl born in the 80’s wore during high school? Well, they are back and with a vengeance, I might add. The quality of their eyeshadow is superb and is right on par with MAC, Urban Decay and pretty much any other high-end makeup brand. In fact, I own over 8 palettes from Wet N Wild and I tend to grab those shadows more than the high-end stuff.

This palette in particular is a favorite of mine. The colors range from deep, dark and luxurious to bright, shiny and fun.

This is the “Blue Had Me at Hello” Palette:
WW 2
Cost of palette: $4.99 US
The palette features 8 shades
WW 1
-Matte Black
-Black with Silver Specs
-Shiny Navy Blue
-Shimmery Blue
-Deep Turquoise
-Silver
-Shiny Mint
-Shimmery White
Here are 6 swatches of the 8 colors (I left the 2 black colors out):
WW swatch

The colors are pigmented, they have great color payoff and they leave little fallout behind when applying to the lid. Also, I think the shiny navy blue is a perfect dupe for MAC’s Deep Truth and the turquoise is similar to MAC’s Aquadisiac. One MAC eyeshadow pot will run you $15 + dollars, this whole palette is less than $5. So, run out and go try one of these amazing palettes! There are a few others for purchase…the two other I own are Petal Pusher and Comfort Zone. These can be purchased at any drugstore or big box store!

Much Love,

Jess

30 for 30 Week 1 Recap

Hi Everyone,

Week one of 30 for 30 is now behind me and I am already into day one of the second week. I was pretty happy with my outfits except for Day 3. I originally planned to wear the shirt with a black blazer and scarf; however, I woke up to 70 degree weather with high humidity and rain. Being frustrated, I walked out the door with just the butterfly shirt and black pants. How boring! Nevertheless, here are the 5 outfits:

Day 1 Day 2
Day 3 Day 4
Day 5

Much Love,

Jess
